Key Changes: Inclusivity in Action

Key Changes: Inclusivity in Action is a 12-module, practitioner-centered course designed to equip music educators with the tools, strategies, and mindset needed to create inclusive, student-centered ensemble experiences. Grounded in universal design for learning (UDL), culturally responsive pedagogy, and the realities of today’s classrooms, this course empowers teachers to reach every student—especially those with special needs—without compromising musical excellence.

Whether you teach band, choir, general music, music appreciation, or music tech, this course provides hands-on resources, adaptive planning tools, and real-world examples to support sustainable, inclusive teaching practices.

You'll explore how to:

  • Build ensemble culture rooted in belonging

  • Adapt repertoire and instrumentation with intention

  • Collaborate with SPED teams and families

  • Use accessible assessment strategies

  • Plan inclusive performances and programming

Each module includes downloadable lesson plan builders, reflection tools, and customizable resources—plus guidance for using them with your students right away.

Perfect for educators in public/private schools, universities, or community programs, Modulations in Practice also supports district- or schoolwide implementation through PD licensing options.
